Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of self-efficacy on change, switching benefits, switching costs, and perceived value on user resistance in using digital payments in MSMEs. This study used a survey method on 63 MSME respondents in Siak Regency. The results showed that switching benefits had a positive effect on perceived value and switching costs had a positive effect on user resistance to using digital payments. In addition, there was a positive effect of self-efficacy on changes in user resistance to using digital payments mediated by switching costs. This study contributes by providing empirical evidence regarding the antecedents that can cause resistance in digital payments so that these antecedents can be mitigated, which can then encourage MSMEs to transform digitally and can increase the effectiveness and efficiency of MSME businesses in the future.
