Studi Perbandingan Efektifitas Penggunaan Spent Bleaching Earth yang di stabilisasi Terhadap Kuat Tekan Beton Pada Kawasan Pesisir
Abstract
Spent Bleaching Earth (SBE) is one of the problems that triggers soil damage due to its fairly common use but minimal utilization of waste. SBE is waste from the filtration of Crude Palm Oil (CPO). SBE waste has been piled up in landfills that have not been utilized significantly to reduce this pile. Because of this, environmental and air pollution will occur if it cannot be processed as soon as possible. So, the innovation of utilization as a form of saving pollution by mixing it into the concrete mixture so that it becomes a meaningful material and can be utilized optimally. Based on the test results obtained, SBE stabilized with shells was 60% of the SBE requirement in the concrete mixture, showing a concrete compressive strength of 30,76 MPa, while normal concrete only achieved a compressive strength of 21,90 MPa. So, this research recommends that SBE need to be stabilized with seashells before being applied as a cement substitute material in concrete mixtures.
