Aplikasi Informasi Penjualan Beras Berbasis Website (Studi Kasus : BUMDes Sekecamatan Siak Kecil)

Abstract

The use of rice as a staple food in Indonesia has led to rising rice prices and an increasingly complex supply chain. In Bengkalis District, Siak Kecil Sub-district is known as an abundant rice producer, supported by BUMDes in Langkat, Sepotong and Sungai Siput Villages. The main obstacle faced by consumers is access to up-to-date information on rice availability. To overcome this problem, a Web-based Rice Sales Information Application has been developed. This application provides up-to-date information on rice availability and prices, and allows users to place orders with cash on delivery (COD) or bank transfer payments. This application is also equipped with a direct communication feature via WhatsApp to facilitate interaction with sellers. The test results show that the app is very helpful for the admin (BUMDes) in managing stocks, prices, bookings, and sales recap. For customers, this application provides convenience in accessing information and ordering rice online without having to come to the sales location. The application development uses PHP programming language with Laravel framework and MySQL database. Testing was conducted using the Black Box Testing method, which assesses ease of navigation, speed of access, and data accuracy.
