This research aims to look at optimization strategies that can be applied by BUMDesa to improve the village economy in Bengkalis Regency, with a focus on BUMDesa Kuala Alam and BUMDesa Jangkang. BUMDesa Kuala Alam manages the business of processing lomek fish into shredded and crackers, while BUMDesa Jangkang focuses on savings and loans and bottled water production. The results show that both BUMDesa BUMDesa have great potential in improving the economic welfare of the village through various economic activities. BUMDesa Kuala Alam increased housewives' household income through training and involvement in production. BUMDesa Jangkang optimizes village youth by providing jobs in the production and distribution sectors. Development opportunities for both BUMDesa can be enhanced through skills training programs relevant to their respective business sectors. Positive impacts are also seen in improved skills, household economic stability and community participation in economic development. However, there are challenges in terms of limited capital and expansion of distribution networks. Government support as well as cooperation with the private sector is essential to optimize the potential and sustainability of BUMDesa businesses.
